NSBM’s Department of Economics and Decision Sciences of the Faculty of Business lately took the initiative to launch two new exciting degree programs, Bachelor of Management Honors in Applied Economics and Bachelor of Management Honors in Business Analytics degree, which opened a pathway for many aspiring individuals to peruse degrees in two of the top demanding disciplines in modern work-world.

The inauguration ceremony to welcome the first batch of students who started their higher education journeys with these degrees was held on 20th April 2023. The ceremony comprised speeches and activities intending to extend a warm welcome to the newly enrolled batch and give them insights into the journey that they are about to take towards achieving rewarding careers as global graduates of NSBM. It was graced by the presence of Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head, Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean, Faculty of Business, Dr. Janaka Fernando, Head of the Department of Business Economics at University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Mr. Lahiru Perera, Business Analyst, MAS Linea Aqua, Ms. Sashini Gayanika, Head, Department of Economics and Decision Sciences, Faculty of Business, NSBM Green University and the academic staff and the undergraduates of the new degree programs.
