The inaugural Science Research Symposium, organised by the Faculty of Science at NSBM Green University on October 11th, 2023, was a resounding success. The symposium was unfolded to provide a valuable platform for undergraduate researchers to present their findings, fostering academic growth and connecting students with experts.
The event was graced by Vice Chancellor, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Bharatha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katiwawila, Heads of the Department of Biomedical Science, Dr. Damayanthi Dahanayake and academic and non-academic staff of NSBM Green University.
Dr. Chanaka Sandaruwan, Senior Research Scientist of the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology, participated in the event as the keynote speaker and inspired the audience.
The Science Research Symposium made a lasting contribution to vibrant scientific exchange, setting the stage for a brighter future in research at NSBM’s Faculty of Science, which is to be continued as an annual event.
