The IEEE Student Branch of NSBM had the privilege of celebrating IEEE Day 2024 at NSBM Green University with remarkable enthusiasm. The event was hosted in the Faculty of Computing, with the theme of ‘AI with Research’ which featured a lively atmosphere with vibrant decorations that beautifully represented the world of Artificial Intelligence.
The celebration was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, and Mr. Gayan Perera, Lecturer-In-Charge of the IEEE Student Branch. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking panel discussion led by guest speaker Mr. Shamal De Silva, a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer, who shared invaluable insights into AI, research, and the future of technology during a thought-provoking panel discussion alongside Mr. Gayan Perera.
The event attracted over 200 participants and included a lively quiz challenge that kept the audience energized and entertained, with prizes awarded to the winners.
