GlobalBizX’23, the International Business Strikeout Challenge, organised by the IBM Circle of NSBM Green University, came to an exhilarating close with the Grand Finale held on October 31st 2023, at the Green Boardroom.
In the Grand Finale of GlobalBizX’23, the two fierce teams that emerged as competition finalists battled it out in a thrilling competition. The challenge was intense, with teams presenting innovative strategies for internationalising their chosen product, followed by a buzzer round that had everyone on the edge of their seats! Team “Yes Co” emerged as the champions, showcasing their exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking, while Team “Tolerant Operators” displayed remarkable talent, becoming the runners-up.
The competition saw the participation of Mr. Tharindra Gooneratne, Head – International Services, Dialog Axiata Plc and Mr. Nadeeja Karunathilaka, Director – International Sales, Ceylon Biscuits Limited, as External Evaluators.
The event was glamoured by the presence of the Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Head of the Department of Management, Ms. Bhasuri Amarathunge, Academic staff, and the students.
