Global Village is an annual national event that brings people together from a variety of diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate multi-ethnicity, develop cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship. NSBM Green University town partnered with AIESEC in NSBM as the Platinum Partner and hosted over 200 foreign undergraduates from over 25 different countries and was driven by the objective of promoting cultural diversity. The event included the participants dressing up in their respective traditional attires, a cultural show, authentic national food from other nationalities, other nationality dances, songs, and games.

The event was graced by Dr. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University Town as the chief guests and the top management team, Academics and non- academic staff of the institution. As one of the most colorful events of NSBM’s annual calendar, for the second consecutive year, our own NSBM undergraduates got a one in a million opportunity to network with their brothers and sisters across the world. Countries such as the Netherlands, Taiwan, China, Hongkong, India, Malaysia, Egypt, Sweden and many more participated in the event. It was concluded with a brief awarding ceremony for the best cultural performance and party aftermath.
