A friendly Table Tennis encounter between the Table Tennis Club of NSBM Green University and the Table Tennis Team of SLTC Research University concluded recently on a victorious note at the NSBM Grounds. 
The match brought together the Table Tennis players of NSBM and SLTC in an exciting competition that treated the spectators to a thrilling display of skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The friendly tournament consisted of three main events: Mens’ Singles, Mens’ Doubles, and Mixed Team Event. 

Mr. Hiran Kanchana of NSBM Green University clinched the Championship of Mens’ Singles Event by beating Mr. Ishara Thiwanka of NSBM Green University. The Mens’ Doubles’ Championship was clinched by Mr. Ishara Thiwanka and Mr. Yasith Wickramaarachchi of NSBM Green University while Mr. Hiran Kanchana and Mr. Jaliya Madushanka emerged Runner-up. The NSBM Green University “A” Team bested the SLTC Research University “A” Team in a nail-biting final at the Mixed Team Event and emerged Champions. Ultimately, the NSBM Table Tennis Club emerged as the Overall Champions. 

The awarding of trophies and certificates to the players was done by the Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa. Head of Student Affairs, Mr. Thisal Yatawara, Mistress-in-Charge of Table Tennis Club, Mrs. Tharani Sooriyaarachchi, Master in Charge of the Table Tennis Club, Mr Piumal Herath, and Executive – Sports and Physical Education, Ms Shanika Sewwandi.
