With the vision of being an academic community with excellence and impact in Science education and research, the Faculty of Science will serve the environmental and industrial needs by producing highly qualified scientists to meet the needs of the market, besides conducting pure and applied researches to support our national development. To accomplish this, the faculty will dedicate itself to achieve distinction in teaching through designing and offering innovative programmes to build linkages, collaboration, and partnerships with industry in order to create future job opportunities of our graduates.

The Faculty of Science offers degree programmes in different specializations: Biomedical Science, Nutrition and Health, Pharmaceutical Science, Nursing and Psychology offered in collaboration with world renowned University of Plymouth, UK as well as NSBM owned degree programmes. This gives our graduates the opportunity of studying an international degree in Sri Lanka.

The students at the Faculty of Science have the opportunity to acquire knowledge from a well-qualified and highly accomplished lecture panel and access to state of art laboratories with high tech instrumentation facilities. All the degree programmes are up to date and equipped with highly theoretical and practical knowledge with laboratory skills, making a future-ready professional. The Faculty of Science at NSBM Green University offers degree programs in highly demanding science domains in order to provide humanity with a healthier and more secure sustainable future. The scientific education given in the faculty equips our graduates for the changing world of the future. The up-to-date programmes, well-qualified lecture panel and also with the state of the art laboratory facilities prepare the students to match the dynamics in the job market. Temporary Lecturer

YSC is the official student circle of the Faculty of Science. All academic related events and activities of the faculty and extracurricular activities of the faculty are organized and coordinated through the Young Scientists’ Circle.

YSC successfully organized the Inauguration ceremony of the Faculty. The society coordinates the publication of “IN VISION” which is the annual magazine of the Faculty of Science.

YSC also strive towards establishing partnerships with industry experts through the “SCI VERSE” guest lecture series on diverse topics related to the academic and professional skills important for the students.

Moreover, YSC organizes the annual inter school quiz competition “CELLULAE” which brings down A/L Science stream students from around the country. Images of the quiz competition are attached herewith.
