Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement – the 5th faculty of NSBM Green University was ceremonially inaugurated on 7th July 2022.

The Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement, the latest addition to the NSBM’s chain of faculties, was established with the aim of improving and developing postgraduate opportunities offered by the university to the next level. The faculty will be responsible for the conduct and facilitation of doctoral, master and professional advancement education in the university.

The inauguration ceremony was graced with the honourable presence of Vice Chancellor, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Heads of the departments, academics and non-academic staff members of NSBM.

Dr Chaminda Wijesinghe was appointed and assumed duties as the Dean of the newly established Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement.

In conjunction with the ceremony, the new office of the Doctoral studies and Research unit was also declared open. This unit will be dedicated to the doctoral education of the university and improving the research contribution of the university.
