The Faculty of Engineering at NSBM hosted the “Faculty Industry Collaboration Discussion: in Civil Engineering Field” on May 17th, 2024. The session saw the presence of Mr. Harsha Rathnasooriya from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa and Dr. Buddhika Weerasinghe from the Division of Civil Engineering Technology, University of Moratuwa as the distinguished resource persons. Representatives from 14 prominent Civil Engineering organizations, both private and government, also participated in the session and shared their industry expertise.

The occasion was also participated by Dr. Chandana Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Head of the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Systems Engineering, and fellow academics from NSBM’s Faculty of Engineering.

The session focused on addressing challenges faced by the Civil Engineering sector and fresh graduates, along with strategies for the Engineering Field. It highlighted the importance of new technological insights, encouraging academics to delve deeper into developed industry-based activities. These interactive discussions inspired and motivated all attendees, making it a highly productive session.
