The Department of Operations and Logistics at NSBM Green University successfully completed the first round of Corporate Academic Round Table (CART) session on 16th July 2024. This initiative marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to revise and enhance the curriculum for the BSc in Management (Industrial Management) (Special) degree program.
The session brought together a distinguished panel of industry professionals, academics, and alumni, including: Prof. Sudath Manjula Amarasena from the Department of Decision Sciences, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardhanapura, Mr. Kamal Geeganage Chief Operating Officer of CBL Foods and Mr. Dumidu Ranaweera Global Director at Dr. Mikel J Harry Six Sigma Management Institute and Mr. Janaka Weerasuriya Global Manager – Quality, Health, Environment and Safety at Jiffry Products International. Their invaluable insights and expertise are instrumental in shaping a curriculum that meets the evolving needs of the industry and prepares our students for future challenges.
The discussion was led by Ms. Maneesha Dias – Head, Department of Operations and Logistics together with the main academic organizers Mr. Sachin Kulandaivel and Mr. Maleesha Edirisinghe and all other academics of the department. Mr. Rushdi Hadhi – Manager – NFORCE, supported the discussion by coordinating with the industry resource persons.
