The Department of Accounting & Finance (DAF) hosted a special event on 19th February 2025, to commemorate this 4-year milestone held on 18th February 2025. The event was organised to strengthen industry collaborations, reconnect with our esteemed alumni, and create new opportunities for our current undergraduates.

The main highlights of the event included;

• Signing of MoUs with 4 leading companies: Deloitte Partners, Acuity Knowledge Partners, Verité Research, and AuroraCRM to enhance industry partnerships.
• Alumni sharing session featuring 4 prestigious alumni, who shared valuable experiences and learnings from their time at the department.
• Launch of the “Preparatory Course in Computerized Accounting” to equip undergraduates with the skills needed for the tech-savvy accountant of tomorrow.

The event was graced by the participation of esteemed NSBM top management LED BY THE Vice chancellor Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, industry partners, academic and administrative staff of the department, alumni members, and our vibrant student community.
