NSBM Green University’s Orientation Programme for the October 2024 intake continued on October 30 with an engaging and empowering Day 2. This day was designed to inspire new students to explore their potential, connect with peers, and set a purposeful path for their academic journey ahead.
The day set the tone for a series of insightful sessions led by Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Prof. Baratha J. Dodankotuwa. Day’s highlights were sessions by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Nihal Thalduwa and Senior Counselor and Psychotherapist, Dr. Chaminda Weerasiriwardena. The Head of Student Affairs, Ms. Aushadharie Kaushalya introduced students to a wide range of clubs and societies, encouraging active participation in campus life.
For students in the Foundation Programme, tailored sessions offered guidance on their academic pathways. These sessions were conducted by academic leads, including the Head of the Department of Management Ms. Bhasuri Amarathunga, Head of the Department of Software Engineering Dr. Mohomad Shafraz, Lecturer of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Hasali Rajakaruna, Lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering, Ms. Nipuni Fernando, and Lecturer of the Faculty of Science, Ms. Lakshani Jayasinghe
In addition, Lecturers of the Faculty of Business Ms. Udani Dilrangi and Ms. Shehani Joseph delivered two impactful sessions with valuable insights and guidance for their academic and personal journeys.
The day concluded with a registration session for clubs and societies, giving students a chance to explore extracurricular interests and form new connections.
