The IEEE WIE Affinity Group of NSBM recently hosted CyberXpose 1.0, an insightful and dynamic event that explored the pressing realities of cybercrime. The event featured two distinguished experts: Mr. Asela Waidyalankara, a leading voice in Cybersecurity and AI Policy, and Ms. Sajeewani Abeykoon, Director of Law Enforcement at the National Child Protection Authority. They led an engaging panel discussion on the dangers of cybercrime, how to protect ourselves from digital threats, and the laws surrounding cybersecurity.

 

With a great turnout of participants, everyone walked away with useful knowledge to keep themselves safe in the digital world. To wrap up the session on an exciting note, a lively quiz challenge tested participants’ newfound knowledge — with the winner taking home a special prize.
