For the first time in the history of the prestigious Siyapathsiya Udanaya Avurudu Kumara Kumariya competition, a Crown Launching Ceremony was introduced as a spectacular new addition. This grand event, held on March 27th at the NSBM Auditorium, unveiled the magnificent gold crown that will adorn the Siyapathsiya Udanaya Avurudu Kumariya 2025.
Crafted from pure gold and encrusted with precious gems, the crown which is valued at one hundred million rupees was generously sponsored by Raja Jewelers, a distinguished name in Sri Lanka’s jewelry industry.
The ceremony was held under the esteemed guidance of Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM, and was attended by NSBM staff, esteemed guests, sponsors, students, and alumni. Adding to the event’s grandeur, the occasion was graced by renowned NSBM stars—Mashi Siriwardena, Emasha Seneviratne, Peshani Ekanayake, Lasaan Pathirana, Sandali Wakkumbura, and Chamathka Dahami—who previously shone in the Siyapathsiya Udanaya Avurudu Kumara Kumariya competition and later made their mark in acting and modeling industries.
The event also featured the semi-final round of the Siyapathsiya Udanaya Avurudu Prince and Princess competition, culminating in the announcement of the 24 finalists who will compete for the coveted titles at the grand finale.
