The NSBM Circularity and Sustainability Community (NCSC) hosted the official closing ceremony of Digital Hustle 2024 at the prestigious Sysco LABS premises on January 28th, 2025. This event marked the successful culmination of the impactful Digital Hustle: IT Freelancing & Cyber Safety Workshop, conducted in November 2024 at Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Katukurunda, Kalutara.

The closing ceremony celebrated the immense success of this initiative, which empowered 150 A/L students with knowledge and skills in IT freelancing and cyber safety, promoting entrepreneurship and aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.

The ceremony featured an inspiring recap of the workshop’s objectives and achievements, a message of appreciation for all the stakeholders who contributed to its success. The highlight of the event was the official handing over of a Rs. 100,000 sponsorship by Sysco LABS, whose generous support enabled the success of this initiative and opened doors for future impactful projects.

The NCSC members, who worked tirelessly to make the event a reality, were commended for their dedication and efforts. Special thanks were extended to all speakers and contributors of the original workshop, including Ms. Aushdharie Kaushalya, Mr. Chamara Dissanayake, Ms. Chathurma Wijesinghe, and the staff of Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, who were instrumental in its success.

The closing ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from the NCSC team, followed by discussions about expanding similar initiatives to further promote education, sustainability, and innovation among Sri Lanka’s youth.
