The third consecutive edition of CELLULAE ‘25, the Interschool Science Quiz Competition, was successfully held on 27th February 2025. It was proudly hosted by the Young Scientists’ Circle of the NSBM Faculty of Science.

 

This year’s competition brought together 14 leading schools from across the country, featuring talented Advanced Level Science stream students. After two intense rounds of competition, Gampaha Bandaranayake College and Badulla Central College emerged as the top contenders, securing their spots in the Grand Finale. Following a fiercely competitive final round, Badulla Central College claimed the championship title of CELLULAE ‘25.

 

The Grand Finale and Awarding Ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor; Prof. J. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance; Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean of the Faculty of Science; along with faculty heads and staff members, adding prestige to the occasion.
