NSBM’s highly anticipated Campus to Corporate Program 2024/25 kicked off in style with an inspiring and engaging keynote address by Mr. Darshana Senvirathne, Head of Human Resources at HEMAS Consumer Brands. His insights on bridging the gap between academic life and the corporate world set the perfect tone for the journey ahead.
First day of this two-day programme featured a series of insightful and engaging sessions tailored for final-year undergraduates from NSBM Faculty of Business.
The first session, designed for BSc in Business Management (Industrial) (Special) students, was conducted by Mr. Rachitha Fernando, Manager – Operational Excellence at Hemas Consumer Brands. Mr. Fernando brought his wealth of experience and expertise in Manufacturing Management to the discussion.
The program continued with an informative session led by Mr. Namal Sanjeewa, Senior Manager – Compliance and Control at Hemas. With his vast experience in accounting and finance, Mr. Sanjeewa offered practical knowledge and industry perspectives, equipping students with a deeper understanding of compliance and financial controls.
Adding further value to the program, an impactful session on “International Business, Marketing, Communication & Business Development” was carried out by Ms. Shaza Wickramaratne, Senior Manager – International Business at Hemas International, who shared her expertise and experiences in branding products for the international market.
Day 1 of C2C Programme 2024/2025 concluded an On-Site Mock Interview session, which was an invaluable opportunity for our undergraduates to sharpen their career readiness. The session was led by industry professionals of Hemas Consumer Brands, Ms. Cheranga Weerawardhana, Assistant Manager of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding and Mr. Namal Sanjeewa, Senior Manager of Compliance and Control. This opportunity provided students with real-world insights into the interview process. With active participation from students eager to excel, this event was a significant step in empowering them to navigate their career pathways with confidence and professionalism.
