“Bounce Back: Budget Analysis 2022” the budget forum was organized by the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences of NSBM Green University with the expectation of opening up a platform for a productive academic dialogue. This was held on the 25th of November 2021 from 11 a.m. onwards at the University Auditorium and was successfully broadcast live on Facebook.

The forum was enlightened with the participation of three eminent panellists namely, Dr. Janaka Fernando (Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura), Mr. Thivanka Jayasinghe (Partner, PwC Sri Lanka) and Mr. Dhananath Fernando (Chief Operating Officer, Advocate Institute). The forum was moderated by Mr. Kasun Dissanayake (Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics and Decision Sciences, NSBM Green University). The discussion was developed in the areas of government revenue composition, rationalizing government expenditure, deficit financing, foreign currency crisis, positive directions, and challenges of the new budget.
