“Ambiente’23: Exploring Urban Wetlands & Species Diversity” an awareness session and field visit organized by the Sustainability Cluster of the International Center for Tourism and Hospitality (ICTH) in collaboration with Thema Collection, concluded successfully on 28th August 2023 at Diyasaru Wetland Park, Thalawatugoda.
Ambiente’23 comprised a quiz challenge and a species identification contest. The purpose of this session was to instil a sense of wonder and appreciation for the remarkable biodiversity that sustains life on our planet whilst promoting the importance of sustainable urban tourism. This session was conducted by industry expert Mr. Ashan Karunananda, the Senior Manager of Sustainability and Product Development at Thema Collection.
