Profile
Ms. Thilini De Silva is the Dean of the faculty of business of NSBM Green University and one of the pioneer academic members of the faculty. She has significantly contributed to the development of the NSBM GU since its’ inception. She is a graduate of University of Wayamba with a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance with a first class and a university dual gold medalist with the Slimeline Gold medal for the overall best performance and the Bank of Ceylon Gold medal for the best performance in Banking and Finance in the faculty of Business Studies and Finance of the 2005/2006 batch. She is honoured by Wayamba University, Sri Lanka as the most outstanding performer of the Faculty of Business Studies and Finance at the faculty day in the year 2014. She has successfully completed her Master of Business Administration at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Sri Lanka. She is reading for her PhD at Stockholm University, Sweden, researching women empowerment, women entrepreneurship, gender, and social media. She delivers lectures in Entrepreneurship, International Business Management, Global Enterprise, Professional Development and Management.
Since she was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Business in the year 2017, she has led the team in the Faculty of Business for continuous and sustainable progression. She is very passionate about developing the soft skills of the students while continuously encouraging them for academic excellence and improving their personalities to be suitable for the modern business world.
