A new door was opened to weigh up a new flavor of accounting and finance education in Sri Lanka today with the establishment of the Department of Accounting and Finance attached to the Faculty of Business, NSBM Green University.

The inauguration ceremony of the Department of Accounting and Finance was held today (18th February 2021), from 10.00 am onwards at the Faculty premises with the presence of the Chief Guest the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University Prof. E A Weerasinghe, Guest of Honor Dr. W. Jinadasa, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the Faculties, Heads of Departments, Representatives from CIMA and ACCA and other esteemed invitees.
