Profile

Dr. Chandana Perera is a Chartered Physicist obtained his BSc. Special Degree in Physics with Computer Science from the Faculty of Science and his Ph.D. Physics from the University of Colombo with the collaboration of Uppsala University Sweden. He is being consulting as Scientist for Marine Wing/Nuclear Biological & Chemical Wing of Center for Research and Development, Ministry of Defence, Sri Lanka and he has actively involved in the field of Defence Research from 2005. He has worked in international research projects at ABB, SRTI laboratories in Ludvika Sweden and Division for Electricity, Department of Engineering Sciences Uppsala University Sweden. He is a reviewer for SCI Journals and International Scientific conferences. He is specialized in development of Control Systems and HMI (Human Machine Interface), Embedded Electronic Systems for Defence Industry. In addition that he is developing Simulator System for Military Training of Arms, Armoured Vehicles and Naval Vessels at National Level.

There are about fifteen (15) research publications in index journals and international conferences. He has won several presidential awards individually and research awards for publications and research projects. He is being a member of the Curriculum Development Panels for Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Electronics Engineering Degrees in several state and Non State Universities.
