Day 1 of NSBM Convocation Week 2021 was dedicated to conferring the graduates of NSBM offered UGC approved degree programmes. Conferment of the graduates who completed BSc in Management Information Systems (Special), BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering and BSc (Hons) in Computer Science attached to the Faculty of Computing was held during the Session 04 of the ceremony.

The awarding of the degrees to the next generation of NSBM Computing and IT experts was done by Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, with the esteemed patronage of Chief Guest of the session: the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka, Prof Sampath Amarathunga.

The presence of the Head of Academic and Quality Assurance of NSBM, Prof Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans, Academics, Parents and well-wishers further glamoured this special occasion.

Ms Niruddya Sadani Amaradivakara Samarasinghe was awarded Gold medals for being the Overall Best Performer of Faculty of Computing and Best performer of BSc (Honours) in Software Engineering. She also won the Virtusa Gold Award for Top performing Student.
