D-Talk 3.0, an inspiring event hosted by the Department of Design Studies, concluded successfully on 28th November 2024. This dynamic event of creativity and collaboration provided a platform to explore the transformative power of design while honouring the remarkable achievements of NSBM’s talented students and alumni.
The event featured an inspiring keynote by Dr. Dilina Janadith, Lecturer in Communication Design at the University of Moratuwa, who shared his expertise and perspectives on the evolving role of design in today’s world. Highlights of the event included the Design Excellence Awards, which celebrated outstanding student creations, and the launch of the Invospace 24 Magazine. Adding to the occasion, NSBM’s distinguished design alumna, Ms. Asheni Alwis, delivered a thought-provoking session, sharing her journey and insights into the field of design.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Chandana Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Ms. Upaksha Hettithanthri, Head of the Department of Design Studies, alongside the department’s academic staff.
