Mathematica Elevate ’24, an insightful workshop organized by the Mathematics and Statistics Circle at NSBM Faculty of Computing was held on 25th November 2024 at the faculty premises.
This insightful workshop provided computing undergraduates with an exceptional platform to delve into the dynamic interplay between mathematics and artificial intelligence, showcasing their pivotal roles in shaping the future of technology. The sessions featured two distinguished speakers: Ms. Madushi Welikala, Software Engineer at WorldRemit, and Mr. Dulan Dias, a Ph.D. Candidate specializing in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
In conjunction with the workshop, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Mathematics and Statistics Circle took place, fostering collaboration and setting the agenda for the upcoming year.
The occasion was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Dr. Chaminda Wijesinghe; Lecturer in Charge of Mathematics and Statistics Circle, Ms. Hirushi Dilpriya along with the academics of NSBM Faculty of Computing.
