GreenBase’24, the one and only leadership night camp of NSBM was held over two consecutive days on the 31st of October and 1st of November at NSBM Phase 1 Grounds. This two-day overnight camp is designed to foster camaraderie and leadership skills among students across all faculties. Organized by the Association of Business Management (ABM) for the 3rd time since 2018, the event offered an immersive experience across a series of activities aimed at personal and team growth.
The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. J. Bharatha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and Ms. Bhasuri Amarathunge, Head of the Department of Management and Lecturer-In-Charge of the Association of Business Management, in support of the 50 eager participants.
The opening day featured an engaging teamwork development session led by Mr. Prasanna Perera, Senior Lecturer and Senior Student Counselor at NSBM, followed by a cooking competition, a bonfire gathering, and a sky lantern showcase. Day 2 commenced with morning exercises conducted by Mr. Dilupa Wijerathna, Cultural Coordinator of NSBM, and concluded with a session on Personal Branding led by Mr. Shane Ferdinandus, Corporate Trainer and Head of Learning & Development at Anantara Luxury Hotels & Resorts Kalutara.
