24.2 and 24.3 Engineering Foundation batches of the Faculty of Engineering at NSBM Green University participated in an industrial visit on 24th October 2024 to Michelin Lanka, Ekala Tire Division (ETD).
The industrial visit’s purpose was to provide some practical knowledge on the latest innovations and advancements in the tyre industry. The industrial visit included a range of activities, technical workshops, and networking opportunities. It was an excellent platform for students and faculty to engage with industry leaders and gain practical knowledge.
The visit was organized by the Lecturer-in-Charge of Engineering Foundation Program, Eng. Nipuni Fernando, in collaboration with Mr. Mohamed Rushdi Hadhi, Manager of NFORCE (NSBM career guidance unit), under the guidance of Dr. Chandana Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Eng. Isuru Lakmal, Head of the Department of Mechatronic and Industrial Engineering.
This hands-on experience served as an important educational component, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical industrial applications. It concluded with positive feedback from participants and Michelin Lanka, Ekala Tire Division.
