“Economic Knowledge Park 3.0”, the academic exhibition organized by the 23.1 University of Plymouth batch of NSBM Faculty of Business, was held on 7th February 2024 at the Faculty of Business premises. The project is designed as an integral part of the Macroeconomics module, where the undergraduates made creative exhibits to demonstrate historical economic events, prospects of world economies in the coming years, sustainable development goals and many other economics-related themes.
The exhibition featured an insightful keynote speech delivered by a prominent speaker, Dr. Vipula Wickramarachchi, Deputy Director, Economic Research Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Dr. Wickramarachchi highlighted the contemporary macroeconomic outlook of Sri Lanka and elaborated on the way forward as an economy.
The event was graced by Prof. E. A Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean, Faculty of Business, Ms. Anne Pathiranage, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Ms. Sunari Bandara, Ms. Tharushi Hettiarachchi, and Ms. Arani Rodrigo, lecturers of the Department of Accounting and Finance, and other academic staff members.
