In celebration of the Pongal festival, the NSBM Hindu Society hosted a spectacular event titled ‘Pongal Vizha 24.’ The festivities unfolded on January 22, 2024, at the NSBM Open Air Theater, filling the university premises with the blessed spirit of this traditional festival. 

The event was a colourful celebration of Pongal, a traditional harvest festival that holds profound significance as a time for expressing gratitude, fostering togetherness, and spreading festive cheer. It included an array of traditional Pongal delicacies, cultural performances, and vibrant decorations. 

The ‘Pongal Vizha 24’ event saw the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini de Silva, heads of the departments, staff and the students.
