The Grand Finale of NSBM Vivada ’23, the Inter-School Debating Tournament, organized by the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences in collaboration with the Debating and Oratory Club of NSBM, was held on November 7, 2023 at the university auditorium. It was a spectacular event, showcasing the exceptional talents and dedication of the participating schools.

In a well-deserved victory, Kingswood College, Kandy emerged as the undeniable champions, while Mahinda Rajapakshe College, Homagama, demonstrated outstanding performance, securing the well-deserved runners-up position.

The Grand Finale was graced by Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Baratha Dodakotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, academic and non-academic staff members.

The event was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Sanka Amarjith, the esteemed former debate team captain of Nalanda College, a prominent journalist, TV presenter, and a distinguished member of the Supreme Court, who joined as the Chief Guest.
