Day 2 of the “STEAM Educational Excursion (ISEE): Beyond the School Curriculum” programme marked a transformative experience for another 200+ students and teachers representing the rest of the 12 districts who visited NSBM Green University on 14th October 2023. The visit provided all the participants the opportunity to engage in immersive and interactive activities that ignited their passion for future pursuits in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) subjects. Meanwhile, the students also had the privilege of exploring the state-of-the-art NSBM Green University premises, granting them a glimpse into the exceptional facilities and vibrant university life.
“STEAM Educational Excursion (ISEE): Beyond the School Curriculum” is a programme collaboratively organized by the Ministry of Education and National Science Foundation. This programme was specifically designed with the key objective of motivating and creating interest in school students to follow STEAM subject streams and creating awareness of the high-end STEAM job market.
As an integral part of this enlightening programme, school students representing all 25 districts of Sri Lanka were selected to visit NSBM Green University as a key destination where they engage in immersive and interactive activities that ignite their passion for future pursuits in STEAM subjects.
