Assistant General Manager (AGM) from CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd, Thamkok Kuan Simon, and Assistant Manager Marketing and Sales. Ms. Indunil Karunarathne visited NSBM Green University on 23rd July 2019 to discuss possible collaborations between two organizations. They were impressed by the facilities and the model of education provided at NSBM Green University to its undergraduates.

AGM explained about developing the most livable city in South Asia, which is built on sustainable values, a healthy environment with future-ready infrastructure to enhance living convenience in Sri Lanka to the future generation who is yet to come.

The two parties discussed in a few main key areas providing endless opportunities to the undergraduate such as Encouraging student activities, personal development programs, and sports events.
Further, they had discussions on Industry site visit opportunities to port city gallery and construction site. More importantly, student placement opportunities at CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd for NSBM final year students were also discussed at the meeting.

Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Mr. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Mr. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance at NSBM, Deans of all Schools NSBM and other Academic and Non-academic members of NSBM were among the participants of the discussion.
